Great to see the Breakwater finally complete. It seems a long time ago since we studied the marine navigation reports, prevailing winds, sedimentation and dredging plans, not forgetting the wave simulation work.
Sourcing the required rock density and size from a suitable quarry, then finding a facility to manufacture the accropode design, it seems like only yesterday.
Cowi, our PMC colleagues, worked tirelessly to ensure the design criteria were achieved.
With the trestle and jacket all in place, it will soon be time to bring on the platform. The platform weight seemed to grow on a daily basis to the point where we had to re-design the jacket as we couldn't find a crane big enough to lift the platform.
A job well done.
