Time Flies !
2015 - The RGT2 project for PETRONAS in Malaysia is now complete. Commercial cargoes have already docked at the Jetty and the Tanks are about 50% full. Samsung C&T were the EPC for the complete facility, Whessoe were responsible for the design of the two LNG tanks. The design was done in Darlington. I frequently travelled to Kuala Lumpur (design HQ, just a stones throw from the PETRONAS Towers) for design co-ordination, 3d model, P&ID and construction reviews.
2016 - The LNG Terminal Project for Bahrain LNG. I spent 11 months in Korea at the EPC's HQ in Seoul. I was Engineering Manager for the PMC, reviewing all aspects of the design from Marine Jetty, Platform, Jacket and Breakwater, Sub Sea Pipeline, Dredging and Trenching. The On shore facility and on shore pipeline to the Bapco gas facility were also included.
2017 - Back in the Darlington HQ and its a PMC role for a LNG tank build in India.
Thoroughly enjoyed the variety in project issues and locations, fingers are crossed for more of the same.
Currently working on a lot of in house project design improvement schemes and also managing the Whessoe Engineering LinkedIn homepage to enhance our company profile and global coverage.
Lets see what 2018 has to offer, another big project would be very nice.
